Rangers have confirmed today that star forward Ryan Kent’s comeback has been delayed by at least a week after the winger suffered a bit of a setback as part of his rehab.

The pacy attacker, 24, has been more missed than many thought he would be given his previous questionable form, but Scott Wright has been unable to match his quality and there really isn’t anyone else for that slot aside the ex-Liverpool man.

Sadly, Rangers will have to wait for a bit longer though, and he’s ruled out of the St Mirren clash and is a bit of a doubt for Aberdeen as well, which means Rangers will continue to adapt for those fixtures in the attacker’s absence.

It’s a bit of a blow, given slightly indifferent form, and the lack of quality depth in his position, but at least he is likely to be ready for Motherwell and will probably slot straight back into the team.

After a fair chunk of criticism till his injury, Kent’s absence was seen by many as an unwanted way of forcing him to be given a rest, but increasingly, some bad results and poor performances have been noted as a reason we probably miss the man more than expected.

And we have.

His hard work on the left is unique – his pace, quality, dribbling and movement is something no one else in the squad has on his level, and we certainly can’t wait for his return.

Just a little bit longer does it.
