Rangers are now just one match away from finishing the season unbeaten after Wednesday’s 3-0 victory over Livingston.
Goals from James Tavernier, Ryan Kent, and Ianis Hagi put the ‘Gers on 99 points for the season, a full 23 points ahead of rivals Celtic.
After the match, manager Steven Gerrard was over the moon with Joe Aribo’s makeshift performances at left-back, claiming it was one of the best he’d seen during his time at the club.
“He’s my man of the match tonight just because, if you think about it, he’s a number 10,” he told Rangers TV.
“And he’s just been so comfortable at left-back, cruised it and breezed it.
“That left-back performance is as good as we’ve seen in my three years of being here.”
Rangers can complete their unbeaten season with a result against Aberdeen on Saturday, a result that would make them the first Premiership side to earn at least 100 points since Celtic’s record-breaking 2016-17 side that totalled 106 points.
