Steven Bergwijn is on the brink of completing a move to Ajax, who have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Italian transfer expert now reports that the Dutch winger is in Amsterdam to undergo his medicals ahead of his transfer to Ajax.

Ajax had long been chasing the Spurs outcast, who expressed his desire of an exit in search of regular game time.

The Dutch champions have beaten the likes of Manchester United and Everton for Bergwijn, who is set to pen a five-year deal at Johan Cruyff Arena.

The former PSV Eindhoven star will look to revive his career at Ajax in a bid to sustain his place with the Netherlands national team for the World Cup later this year.

Elsewhere at Spurs, Antonio Conte has added Richarlison from Everton in a £60m deal to shore up the attacking options.

The Brazilian attacker will mark Spurs’ fourth signing of the summer transfer window, with the deals for Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma already completed.

Next up is Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet, with whom the Lilywhites have agreed personal terms over a potential loan move.

Romano further reports Spurs will invest a small portion of the fee they are receiving from Ajax for Bergwijn in the loan deal for Lenglet.

Spurs are not done with it as they are also close to securing a move for Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence.
