Steven Bergwijn has revealed he has interest from a number of potential clubs as he looks to leave Tottenham.

The Dutchman only started four Premier League games last season and his opportunities were particularly limited once Dejan Kulusevski was brought in as a regular member of the starting XI.

While he did make some crucial contributions during his 551 minutes of league football - including two goals in a dramatic 3-2 victory at Leicester - Bergwijn confirmed earlier in June that he had designs on leaving north London.

90min understands Tottenham are in talks with Ajax over the transfer. The Dutch giants are willing to offer Bergwijn a five-year deal and he is keen to make the move.

Giving an update on his future, Bergwijn said: "Several clubs have come forward. Now I just have to find a solution for myself that benefits both parties. I’m leaving."

Only one of Bergwijn's four league starts last season came with Conte as manager following Nuno Espirito Santo's departure, but the winger claimed his desire for a move isn't because of the Italian.

He added: "We’ve talked about that. But no, I don’t feel cheated. I respect his choices and I have no problem with him at all. In the games I came in, I showed what I can do, scored my goals and provided assists. At one point I really didn’t know what to do to get into the team.

"However, I never made any problems. But now is the time to leave, you could say that my suitcase is already packed. I cannot afford another season like this, and mentally it’s tough too."
