Steve McClaren has given his first interview as the new boss of the Jamaica national team.

McClaren made the surprise switch from Manchester United to the Reggae Boyz over the summer and is tasked with the leading the Caribbean nation to their first World Cup since 1998.

With the likes of West Ham’s Michail Antonio and Al-Ettifaq winger Demarai Gray at his disposal, McClaren has a real chance to become a national hero in Jamaica.

But speaking for the first time ahead of his debut against Cuba next month, McClaren admitted he was looking forward to his first match – despite being a pasty Englishman in their August weather.
