Newcastle boss Steve Bruce has revealed that the club “failed” in their attempts to sign Olivier Giroud this month.
Giroud has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea during the winter window, with the likes of Inter and Lazio supposedly keen.

Newcastle were also believed to be keen on landing the World Cup winner, and that has been confirmed by Bruce, who talk talkSPORT that the club could not persuade the striker to go to St James’ Park.
