AC Milan and Inter have been working on their new stadium plans for quite some time now but as we know, it’s incredibly difficult with Italian bureaucracy. At least, a step forward has now been taken.

The city council has established that a public debate is needed to decide the future of the Giuseppe Meazza, as Milan and Inter intend to tear it down. It has historical value, no doubt, which is why the public must get involed.

This has been the constant speech of the council in the last few months, but little progress has been made until now. In fact, as confirmed by the council (via MilanNews), a coordinator for the public debate has been identified.

A small step, but indeed a step forward for Milan and Inter and it remains to be seen what the outcome of the debate will be. Of course, the clubs need the public on their side in order to tear down Giuseppe Meazza.
