KINGSTON, Jamaica – Cavalier FC won 4-1 against Miscellaneous Police FC in the 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup on Thursday at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.

Shaquille Stein opened the scoring in the 22' with a right-footed strike inside the box to connect on a through ball from Christopher Ainsworth.

Kevon Woodley equalized in the 32' with a header in front of goal. Alvin Jones provided the cross into the box for the assist.

Shaquille Stein regained the lead for the hosts in the 65' with another strike inside the penalty area. Ainsworth spearheaded the build up through the left side before Dwayne Atkinson redirected the ball in the box to pick up the assist.

Dwayne Atkinson penned his name on the scoresheet in the 77' by placing the finishing touch on a counterattack.

Atkinson earned his second of the night in the 90’+2 with a hit off the volley after Police goalkeeper Adrian Foncette punched out a corner kick service into the box.

The victory maintains Cavalier FC in first place of Group A with six points. The Jamaican side will meet Real Hope FA of Haiti in its next challenge on September 17 in Kingston.

Miscellaneous Police FC will seek its first victory in the current edition when it hosts Arnett Gardens FC on September 19 in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago. Police has one point from its two opening encounters, both as the away side.
