Stefano Sensi On Loan To Sampdoria: “This Isn’t A Goodbye But An Until We Meet Again, Thank You Inter”

Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi is making the switch to Sampdoria on loan for the rest of the season, but he still feels a strong connection with the Nerazzurri.

The 26-year-old posted on his Instagram thanking the club for all their support now that the loan move is complete, and emphasized how important Inter still are to him.

Sensi has failed to make a significant impression in a Nerazzurri shirt this season, with injuries restricting his appearances and form while the wealth of other midfield options in the squad has meant that he has not generally been relied upon.

However, the 26-year-old showed what he can do with a parting gift when he came off the bench and scored a dramatic extra time winner against Empoli in the Coppa Italia.

The goal capped off a very lively cameo experience from the former Sassuolo man, who will hope to show this level on a regular basis at Sampdoria for the rest of the season and be in his best form when he returns to Inter.

Stefano accompanies the message with an emotional photo of his celebration of the winner against Empoli.

He writes, “This is what Inter means: An exclamation of joy that stays with you. I’m saying goodbye for now, but I want to thank everyone who has always believed in me, from the club to my teammates.”

He concludes with “A special thanks to the Nerazzurri fans, who have been behind me even in the most difficult moments. Until we meet again!”
