Here are the stats and facts from the Parisians' 1-4 victory at Orléans in the Coupe de France last 32, the 12th consecutive match without defeat for the Rouge et Bleu.
Paris Saint-Germain continue their run in the Coupe de France after eliminating Revel in the Round of 64 and Orléans in the Round of 32 on Saturday. Their opponents in the Round of 16 will be announced at 8pm on Sunday 21 January, when the draw is made. The Coupe de France is a competition we love in Paris! Since the start of the 2011-2012 season and 60 matches played in the Coupe de France, Paris's goalscorers have been kept quiet on just one occasion: against Nice (0-0, 5-6 pens) in the last 16 of the competition on 31 January 2022.
In addition, PSG have not been knocked out of the Coupe de France in the Round of 32 since the 2013-2014 season, i.e. 10 consecutive qualifications. Finally, Paris have scored at least 1 goal in their last 40 Coupe de France matches away from home or on neutral ground. The last time PSG failed to score away from home was in the 2011 final against Lille.
One year follows another for KM, who is starting 2024 as he has finished every other year. That is, with a bang. Having already become the club's all-time top scorer in the Coupe de France in the previous round against Revel, the Parisian No7 scored another brace and provided two assists. He has also registered at least 1 assist in each of his last 3 matches in all competitions, his longest such streak since October 2022 (3).
Mbappé loves the Coupe de France too! He has scored 22 goals in his last 10 CDF matches with Paris, an average of 2.2 goals/game. Not bad at all!
The Paris Saint-Germain squad is definitely full of resources and surprises. Senny Mayulu, who came on as a substitute against Revel in the previous round, scored his first professional goal. He is the second player born on or after 1 January 2006 to score for Paris in all competitions this season, after Warren Zaire-Emery.
