Bayern play their final home game of 2023/24 on Sunday as Wolfsburg come to the Allianz Arena (kick-off: 5.30pm CEST). fcbayern.com has the key stats and facts ahead of the match.

Favourite opponent

A look at the record books shows Bayern have a good chance of ending the season with a home win. FCB have never lost a Bundesliga game against Wolfsburg in Munich in 26 previous meetings (W24, D2). No other team in the history of Germany’s top flight has ever played away at a particular opponent so often without ever managing at least one win.

Harry Kane scored Bayern’s second as they won 2-1 in Wolfsburg earlier this season.

Bayern have also scored in each of their last 31 Bundesliga meetings with the Wolves since a 0-0 draw in May 2008 (88 goals), which is the Bavarians best-ever scoring run against an opponent.

Neuer set for milestone appearance

Manuel Neuer will be looking for another clean sheet against Wolfsburg to crown a special game. Should he play on Sunday, it’ll be the 38-year-old’s 500th appearance in the Bundesliga, becoming just the fourth goalkeeper to reach that remarkable total after Uli Stein (512), Eike Immel (534) and Oliver Kahn (557). Neuer has so far played 343 times in the Bundesliga for Bayern and 156 games for Schalke.

Musiala’s run against Wolves

Jamal Musiala hasn’t featured in the last three league fixtures against Union Berlin, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart, but he could return to the fold against Wolfsburg, who are his favourite opponent in the Bundesliga. The 21-year-old has scored four times against the Wolves, which is more than any other club, and includes a run of netting in the last three meetings.

Key centre-forwards

Harry Kane is to Bayern, what Jonas Wind is to Wolfsburg. The England captain has been directly involved in 49 percent of FCB’s Bundesliga goals this season (44/90), while Wind accounts for 45 percent of his team’s total (18/40). Kane will look to add to his division-leading tally on Sunday, which currently stands at 36 goals from 32 Bundesliga games.

Wolfsburg on the up

Bayern will have to beware the Wolves, though, who have won three Bundesliga games in a row for the first time in over a year. The upturn has come since Ralph Hasenhüttl took charge, overseeing a return of 12 points from his six games. It’s seen Wolfsburg secure their Bundesliga status for another season and even move into European contention, with the gap to eighth place now only three points.
