Manchester United are in action today as they travelled to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester. As ever in a game following an international break, the two sides looked shaky but grew into the game.

Mason Greenwood’s first-half goal, a sizzling strike from outside the box, silenced the home stadium as he wheeled away to celebrate his fourth goal of the season.

The strike has put him in pleasant company as he joins David Beckham and Nani on the list of players with the highest percentage of goals from outside of the box for Manchester United, as seen below.

Out of players with 20 or more Premier League clubs for United, only the beforementioned pair have scored a larger portion of them from outside of the box. Greenwood’s effort means that 24% of his goals have come from outside the box, signalling his ability to cleanly strike the ball.

The 20-year-old has started the season in brilliant form, starting all eight of Manchester United’s Premier League games so far.
