Here is what we have for you this Friday.
Ahead of the MLS All-Star game in August, Liga MX has revealed the first 14 players selected to represent the opposing league.
Recognise any names here?
Ahead of the USMNT’s match against Grenada, FC Dallas striker Jesus Ferreira opened up on his struggles in front of goal admitting it’s only a matter of time until he starts clicking with the national team.
“Yeah, I mean, the main focus as a No. 9 is to score goals. But a lot of people have to see that the 9 can also assist, and can build out and can help out the build [up],” he said.
“So I think for my job is to facilitate other players to be able to score and to help the other players be in a position to score goals also. As the connection and chemistry is getting there, every practice we get better and better.”
“For me, I think I have a good group of people around me that help me stay focused and know that the goals will come. I know that right now, I’m going through a little struggle, but it’s something that if I stay focused and I keep working, things are going to bounce my way.”
For his club, however, Ferreira is currently tied for the lead in the MLS Golden Boot race.
Atlanta United were handed a double blow by the MLS Disciplinary Committee on Thursday evening.
Head coach Gonzalo Pineda was fined for using inappropriate language towards match officials during their match against Columbus Crew on May 28 while Thiago Almada received a two-match ban (three total).
Almada will now miss matches against Inter Miami, Toronto FC, and New York Red Bulls.
The wait is almost over for Houston Dynamo fans to see Héctor Herrera in action.
The club confirmed the former Atlético Madrid ace will finally be eligible to take to the pitch on July 9 as they face FC Dallas.
Multiple MLS stars were in action Thursday night as Canada beat Curaçao 4-0 in the CONCACAF Nations League.
Former Vancouver Whitecaps star Alphonso Davies scored two goals on his return to Vancouver.
In honour of Hector Herrera’s upcoming debut, we’re revisiting Houston Dynamo’s kit from 2018/19 on display by Houston Dash star Rachel Daly.
What a sharp look this was! Orange creamsicle anyone?
