Pellegrini heading to NYCFC

Inter Miami’s first-ever singing Matías Pellegrini is set to swap pink for blue according to sources in the United States and Argentina.

The 22-year-old winger will join New York City FC having only made 20 appearances for his current club.

But he’s still in the history books no doubt!

Sounders remain cautious with RuidĂaz

Seattle Sounders manager Brian Schmetzer admitted injury-prone RaĂșl RuidĂaz will be handled with caution against LA Galaxy on Friday.

“We need him to finish out the rest of the year healthy. We’ll see how the LA game goes as far as his minutes. We need him on the field, but I’m not going to risk him for re-injury,” he said.

“It’s a really interesting dilemma we have because he wants to play and he wants to help the team. I want him to play.

“It depends on the physical outputs
Those are in-game decisions based on what we see, feel, how the game is going. I’d love to be up and take him off a little bit.”

Brighton ‘monitoring’ LAFC’s Cifuentes

ICYMI, another transfer rumour suggests Premier League club Brighton are monitoring JosĂ© Cifuentes’ situation at Los Angeles FC.

According to sources in Ecuador, the move is ‘very close’ to completion. Could he be the latest to make the switch to England?

Rodríguez pushing to leave LAFC for América

A second LAFC ace could depart this summer as winger Brian Rodríguez admitted he does in fact want to leave the club for Club América in a recent interview.

“I trust my representative so that he can solve the whole issue with AmĂ©rica,” said RodrĂguez.

“I am on [track] to arrive at the club, the deadlines are good. I really want to go.”

Ferreira eyes Golden Boot glory

After finding the back of the net again, FC Dallas’ star attacker JesĂșs Ferreira insists he is focused on achieving Golden Boot glory this season.

“I’m always trying to break records here at the club, it’s the club I watched growing up,” he said. “To be able to be in the history books for the club that I love and grew up watching would be amazing.”

The USMNT striker is currently tied for second with 15 goals and five assists, two behind Sebastian Driussi of Austin FC.

Ferreira has until October 9 to add to his goal tally. If he hits 19, he will break the club record for the most goals scored in a season.

ICYMI Rooney hits out at Mbappé

D.C. United manager Wayne Rooney didn’t hold back when sharing his opinion on the controversy surrounding Kylian Mbappé’s attitude at Paris Saint-Germain.

“A 22-23 year old player throwing a shoulder at Messi
I have never seen a bigger ego than this in my life,” he said.

“Someone remind Mbappe that at 22 years old, Messi had four Ballon d’Ors.”

Honesty at its finest?
