Houston unveil statement signing Herrera

Houston Dynamo unveiled veteran midfielder Héctor Herrera on Friday.

The 32-year-old, who holds the record for most Champions League appearances by a Mexican, arrives in MLS on the back of a decade-long stint in Europe.

Dynamo boss Paulo Nagamura will hope the El Tri international can still produce the same quality that made him a mainstay at Porto and Atlético Madrid.

Juve striker Vrioni ready to join Revolution

New England Revolution are hoping to cushion the blow of losing Adam Buksa to French side Lens by landing Juventus man Giacomo Vrioni.

The Albania international, who spent last season on loan with WSG Tirol in Austria, is set to come in as one of the Revs’ Designated Players.

Orlando winger departs

Following a season-and-a-half with Orlando City, Silvester van der Water has returned to his native Netherlands after agreeing to join Eredivisie side Cambuur.

The 25-year-old winger leaves the Lions after scoring three goals and providing three assists in 34 appearances.

Cincinnati’s Brenner named Player of the Week

Could there be any debate?

After scoring the first MLS hat-trick in Cincinnati history – earning his side a crucial point from a 4-4 draw with New York City FC – Brenner has deservedly been declared Player of the Week.

Cincy are definitely dancing to the samba beat with the Brazilian up top.

Team of the Week

No surprise also that Brenner’s heroics see him included in the MLS Team of the Week.

Another notable face is that of Daniel Pereira after he came off the bench to fire Austin to a 1-0 victory at Charlotte FC on Thursday.

For the day that’s in it, we’ll give props to Houston for their 2018 away jersey.

This beauty not only looked the part, but also brought success to the Orange Crush in the shape of the US Open Cup that season.

It was a real winner!
