Liverpool will play against Ajax at the Amsterdam ArenA this Wednesday night.
The Champions League clash is Liverpool’s first of the 2020-21 group stage.
Some Liverpool supporters on Twitter have stated that they would like to see midfielder Curtis Jones start the match.
The responses below were found on Liverpool’s official Twitter account.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Jones is yet to feature for Liverpool in the Champions League. However, we would also like to see the 19-year-old start against Ajax, and we will explain why.
Jones has only made the four appearances for Liverpool this season. Two of those appearances were substitute appearances in the Premier League.
With that being the case, Jones should be relatively fresh, which means that he should be able to run the game out quite well.
Also, Jones has shown that he has the ability to impact games.
In 18 appearances for the Reds, he has scored five goals and registered one assist. Therefore, we are confident that he could have an impact against Ajax.
Hopefully Reds boss Jurgen Klopp gives him an opportunity to showcase his talent.
