Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Standard Liege are set to sign Kazeem Olaigbe from Southampton. The 20-year-old has spent time on loan with Ross County and Harrogate Town since joining the Saints from Anderlecht in 2019. The Belgian youth international did not make a first team appearance for Southampton, spending most of his time with the youth teams. In 49 games for the sides U23 he scored 16 goals.

During a half season loan with Ross county the attacker played 25 games and scored twice during the League Cup. Olaigbe spent the second half of the season with Harrogate in league two, where he played 19 games and scored three goals alongside five assists.

Olaigbe is the second player to join Standard from an English side this summer. Earlier in the month the side confirmed the signing of Isaac Price from Everton on a free transfer. Fans of the club are still waiting to find out who will lead the side from the dugout next season, with Ronny Deila’s successor yet to be announced.
