Robert Vilahamn insists that full focus is on producing a strong performance and is not looking beyond the 90 minutes ahead of an historic occasion in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup on Sunday afternoon (12pm UK).

It will be our first-ever appearance in the final four of the competition as we welcome Leicester City, who have also reached this stage for the first time in their history, to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – secure your seats now - and we remain just one step away from reaching May’s showpiece final at Wembley.

However, while Robert has acknowledged the significance of reaching the semi-final for the Club, he was keen to make clear that the attention is on the task at hand and isn’t looking any further than the clash with the Foxes.

“I didn’t realise when we won the quarter-final that it’s huge in this country to be in the semi-final for the first time, but I’m proud of that,” when speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon.

“We have been taking big steps to make sure we put Tottenham on the map in Women’s football. The full focus is on this game…. we need to focus on a good performance on Sunday and then we can see who we could face at Wembley.”

“We know that we are a good team that can beat Leicester and that’s what we focus on, to have a good performance… however, if they have a really good day and we have a bad one then we can lose this one, so we need to focus on having a good day and playing the way we want.”

We will also be returning to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for our eleventh visit since the stadium opened in April, 2019 – the first Women’s FA Cup tie to be held there – and Robert is looking forward to being back in the dugout there.

“When the board told us that we were playing at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, I was so happy because we want to be there. It’s a big game and we are feeling we could perform even better in that stadium.

“I just hope we can bring so many fans to the stadium and I want to make sure we do this together because we play for them, not for ourselves. We need them as they give us that extra energy.”
