Lucas Moura has sent a warning to Tottenham Hotspur regarding Gabriel Jesus

Tottenham Hotspur forward Lucas Moura has been impressed by compatriot Gabriel Jesus’s performance so far. But he has warned his side to be wary of the striker.

While speaking to Stats Perform, as cited by Live Score (h/t football. london), the 30-year-old warned that their side will have to be at their very best to stop Jesus from having a huge impact on the match.

“He left a big club and went to Arsenal, and he’s doing very well there. The whole team is doing very well. Arsenal has been playing very well. Without a doubt, it will be a very good match for the fans to watch.”

Arsenal will be hosting Spurs for the north London derby this Saturday. And Moura believes his side has the quality to get there and win all three points.

“It’s going to be a very interesting game and we have to prepare well. It’s a direct fight, against a rival, so it’s going to be a tough game. Even more so at their stadium. But I think we have the quality to get there and fight for the three points.”

Jesus joined the north London rivals this summer. The 25-year-old has made an immediate impact with his new side. He has scored four goals in seven league games so far this season.

The Gooners too have been very good so far. They have only lost one game this season and sit on top of the table with 18 points, having won six of their opening games.

Antonio Conte’s side is not far from them. They, along with Manchester City remain the only unbeaten side in the league. Spurs are third on the table with 17 points, one behind their rivals.

Moura is likely to miss the match due to injury. The forward has not featured for us since coming off the bench in the 2-2 draw against Chelsea last month. But he will more than likely cheer for his side from the stands.

More Tottenham News:

Spurs have a poor record against the Gooners at the Emirates. They have not been beaten in the last 11 encounters, a run that stretches back till November 2010. Conte will hope to change that this Saturday.
