If the players were to return directly to the UK from South America, they would face a compulsory 10-day hotel quarantine and would be unable to train, says the London Evening Standard.

But if they can travel from South America to a UK green-list country and spend nine days there they can return to the UK without isolating.

Rather than being stuck in a hotel room, the Spurs trio would be free train in Croatia and the club is planning 10 days of training there to help keep them up to speed before they return to England.
