Tottenham Hotspur will jet out on a pre-season tour this summer after securing Champions League football next season.
Spurs, like other teams, had to play the majority of their 2021/22 pre-season matches against local opponents due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which prevented clubs from travelling.
Spurs’ most recent pre-season tour was to Asia in 2019, with games in Singapore and Shanghai.
In 2018, the club visited the United States for three games in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis, and the year before they visited Orlando, New York, and Nashville.
Now, Antonio Conte and his team will return to Asia to pay a visit to Son’s homeland. As the Lilywhites look to put in the work ahead of the new season, here’s everything you need to know.
Spurs have announced that they will visit South Korea on an international pre-season tour for the first time since 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
They will face Team K League and Sevilla in two exhibition games in the Coupang Play Series.
In the past, an all-star team from South Korea’s top flight has frequently assembled, with matches against the likes of Juventus and Barcelona.
After their Asian tour, they’ll return to the UK, with a match against Rangers already scheduled.
Following that, the team will travel to Israel to compete in the I-Tech Cup against former manager Jose Mourinho and Roma, the inaugural Europa Conference League winners.
Spurs supporters can watch through the SPURSPLAY, a new home for club video content that will launch this summer and will stream the team’s pre-season games. Fans can express their interest in that platform by registering here.
However, this excludes Asia, and more broadcast information is expected to be released soon.
Ticket information for the tour to South Korea is yet to be announced. For the Rangers friendly, an away allocation will be made available for executive members, season ticket holders and One Hotspur members.
Although the Premier League is scheduled to begin on 6th August 2022.
Spurs will have to wait until 9 am BST on 16th June 2022 to find out who they will be playing because the Premier League fixture list will not be released until then.
