The Lilywhites announced the news via a post on their official club website earlier today.
The 29-year-old Swiss international was set to be out of contract with the North Londoners this summer but she will now remain a Spurs player for an additional year.
Spurs signed Bühler from Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in summer 2023. The player has featured regularly in her two years with Spurs, making 30 appearances for the club in all competitions. Bühler helped Spurs to qualify for a first Adobe Women’s FA Cup final in 2023/2024.
It could be argued that Spurs are yet to see the very best from Bühler but she could thrive this season when new head coach Martin Ho begins to embed his playing philosophy. Ho may take a more balanced tactical approach which could help Bühler display her strongest attributes.
Bühler may have to be patient to play this season. It has been reported that the player has recently undergone knee surgery and at this stage, it is unknown whether she will be fit at the start of the season. The injury isn’t thought to be overly serious.
