The Lilywhites announced the news this morning via an update on their official club website.
Percival is currently sidelined with an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury which she sustained during the April 2022 international window. The player is making good progress on the training pitch and is expected to return to action later this year.
The 33-year-old New Zealand international joined Spurs in summer 2019 after leaving the club’s London rivals West Ham United. Percival has impressed with Spurs and was one of their top performers prior to sustaining her long-term injury. The player is just three games short of making her 50th appearance for The Lilywhites in the Barclays Women’s Super League while she has scored two league goals.
After signing her new deal, Percival said “For me, it is good to have the support of the Club. Ever since I sustained my injury, I can’t thank them enough for the support that they have given me. For them to give me the opportunity to keep representing the Club and to stay here for longer, I’m happy.”
Percival’s new deal is great news for Spurs with the player set to bring both quality and consistency to the team when she eventually returns to action.
