Spurs latest news: £53.8m star delivers 'one of his best games in a Tottenham shirt'
Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge reckons that Tanguy Ndombele produced one of his best performances in a Tottenham shirt against Newcastle last weekend.
The Frenchman arrived in north London for a club-record fee more than two years ago but has struggled for consistency and hasn't always been a regular starter.
However, since the window closed, the midfielder has come back into the frame and is now slowly starting to make his mark in the team.
Ndombele was making his fourth consecutive Premier League start at St James' Park and certainly left his mark in the 3-2 victory.
How did Ndombele perform against Newcastle?
There were several good Tottenham performances in the North-East, but according to WhoScored, none better than the 24-year-old.
Spurs fell behind early on when Callum Wilson continued the party-like atmosphere after just two minutes, but Ndombele quietened the crowd when he equalised with a sumptuous curling effort.

Ndombele didn't directly contribute to either of the next two goals but was involved in the build-up to Heung Min Son's, producing a fine piece of skill to find Lucas, who played in Harry Kane to assist the South Korean.
He still has a long way to go before he starts to repay the £53.8m fee that was paid for him, but Bridge was thrilled with what he saw against the Mapgies.
What did Bridge say?
He told GIVEMESPORT: "I've got to say that Ndombele was excellent as well, it was probably one of his best games in a Spurs shirt."
Did Ndombele do enough to keep his place against West Ham?
The fact that Ndombele and the other nine outfield players that started the Newcastle game didn't play any part against Vitesse in the Europa Conference League on Thursday would suggest that he'll keep his place at the London Stadium in what's likely to be an unchanged side.
Ndombele can still play a lot better, but his display against the Magpies was something worth getting excited about and should see him start against the Hammers.
