Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Eleanor Heeps has signed a new long-term deal with the club.

The Lilywhites announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 20-year-old keeper continues to gain experience in the Spurs first team environment with a view to breaking into head coach Robert Vilahamn’s starting XI in the future. The North Londoners see Heeps as a real prospect and they have moved to tie her down until summer 2027.

Heeps is yet to represent Spurs in the Barclays Women’s Super League but she has enjoyed minutes in previous loan spells with Blackburn Rovers, Coventry United and Sheffield United.

After signing her new deal, Heeps said “I’m really happy and it was something I was looking forward to. It’s a really good time to be at this club and I’m really looking forward to the next couple of years.

“I love this team, it’s like a little family. Everyone backs each other whether you’re starting every week or if it’s just training. It’s a really good environment to be in.”

Heeps will continue working alongside fellow senior goalkeepers Becky Spencer and Barbora Votíková as she bids to challenge for the number one jersey in the coming years.
