Cristian Romero has had better days than the one he endured against Arsenal in Sundayâs north London derby.
Recently hailed as the âbest defender in the worldâ by compatriot Lionel Messi, this isnât the kind of performance the Argentine superstar was referencing.

The former Atalanta man opened the scoring for Arsenal with an unfortunate own goal as he sliced a Bukayo Saka strike into his own net.
After half-time, things got even worse when he gave away a penalty as a wayward arm in the area denied Ben White a goal.
Per Opta, that double dose of disaster means heâs just the 11th player in Premier League history to score an OG and concede a penalty in the same game.
He is also the first Tottenham man to do so.
