Young Tottenham Hotspur defender Morgan Rogers has joined FA Women’s Championship club Watford on dual-registration terms until the end of the season according to reports on The Golden Girls’ official club website.

The 21-year-old defender is a member of Spurs’ WSL Academy League team and she has made four appearances for her club at that level so far this season. Rogers is yet to make her senior debut for Spurs but she did feature for the club during their senior pre-season programme.

With Morgan having signed dual-registration terms with Watford, it is thought that Spurs could call upon Rogers for their WSL Academy League fixtures between now and the end of the season while the player could also train with The Lilywhites.

Morgan joins a Watford side who now find themselves in 11th place in the FA Women’s Championship table following the recent points deduction which was handed to relegation rivals Coventry United by The Football Association. The Golden Girls resume their campaign with the long trip to Prenton Park to face Liverpool on Sunday.

Watford have confirmed that Morgan has been handed their number 30 shirt and the player could be included in the squad for that trip to Merseyside.
