Tottenham have confirmed that Yang Min-Hyeok has joined Championship side Portsmouth on loan for the season.

The South Korean winger joined Spurs in January and spent half of last season on loan at another Championship club in Queens Park Rangers, where he played 14 times and scored twice.

Midfielder Alfie Devine, meanwhile, has signed a new deal with the club and joined Preston North End on loan for the season.

They are the latest of several loan departures from Spurs of late.

Forward Jamie Donley, meanwhile, will also play in the Championship this coming season with Stoke City, while midfielder George Abbot has joined League One side Wycombe Wanderers.

Defender Luka Vuskovic could also follow them out on loan, having attracted plenty of interest from other clubs.

Spurs are also weighing up their options to bolster the squad in attacking midfield, following James Maddison’s serious knee injury which is set to keep him out for the long term.

Dejan Kulusevski will also miss the start of the season as he recovers from knee surgery, which he underwent last season.

Speaking after the 4-0 pre-season friendly defeat to Bayern Munich, boss Thomas Frank said: “I think we are definitely in the market in general.

“Of course, when players get a long-term injury we need to look into that, but generally we are in the market yes.”

Como’s Nico Paz is believed to be among the players Spurs are interested in.

The 20-year-old scored six goals and notched eight assists in Serie A last season.
