Tottenham Hotspur coach Antonio Conte is angling to make a return to coaching in Serie A when his time at Spurs comes to what looks like an inevitable end, and an Inter return is one of the concrete possibilities for his next step.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that all of the Nerazzurri, Juventus, Roma, and AC Milan are interested as Conte searches for a landing spot in the Italian top flight.

Whilst Conte technically remains Spurs coach for the time being, there is a very strong sense that after the 53-year-old’s outburst following his team’s 3-3 draw against Southampton over the weekend it is only a matter of when rather than if he leaves.

According to the Correre, the former Juventus, Italy, Chelsea, and Inter coach has no doubt about the fact that he would like his next job to be in Italy, and he would be willing to accept a wage cut to make it happen.

Inter are among the major candidates for possible next clubs for Conte, although the fact that Simone Inzaghi is currently coach remains as an obstacle.

The Corriere notes that, even though Inzaghi’s future is in doubt and he could be sacked at the end of the season even if he secures top four in Serie A, on the other hand it would be difficult to see this happening if he were to win the Coppa Italia and reach a Champions League semifinal.
