Ange Postecoglou highlighted the importance of Pedro Porro's equaliser as we came from behind to beat Burnley 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.

Always in control, we ended up with 21 efforts at goal to Burnley's seven, but found ourselves behind on 25 minutes when the visitors broke, Sander Berge played in Jacob Bruun Larsen who finished one-on-one.

It took us just seven minutes to get back on terms and we did it in style as Pedro broke into the penalty area from deep and arrowed a shot that flew past Arijanet Muric.

We stepped up again in the second half and created a host of chances. Muric racked up seven saves, denying James Maddison, Cuti Romero and Deki Kulusevski, while Brennan Johnson just failed to convert Heung-Min Son's cross.

It was all set up for another late show in front of the South Stand and it was fans' favourite Micky van de Ven who delivered. Moved from central to left-back after Oliver Skipp put in a 60-minute shift, Micky had caused Burnley problems before his decisive moment on 82 minutes. James Maddison fizzed a pass into Micky's run from the left to the box, Dane Scarlett's run took away Maxime Esteve and Micky ran around the ball to allow himself to angle into the bottom corner with his left foot.

Speaking about the importance of the victory after a tough run of four successive defeats, Ange said: "It was always going to be a tricky game for us because as much as you try and put it to one side, losing four games in a row, for the players there's always a bit of stress and anxiety.

"Burnley really had to go for it today, but I thought in the first half we controlled the game really well - I just thought we were a bit anxious in the final third with our decision making.

"I thought Pedro's goal before half-time was really important, and the second half was better. We were stronger after half-time - we always are. It's just that some recent games have got away from us, but today we were right in it. It's pleasing for the players and credit to them for not getting too wound up and just playing our football."
