Sporting Lisbon have opened talks with Barcelona to secure a deal for the signature of Everton target Vitor Roque this summer.
Barcelona are looking to offload the forward in the ongoing transfer window as part of their plans to raise funds.
He has attracting interest from the Premier League where Everton are interested in taking him to Merseyside.
The Toffees are in talks with the Catalan giants despite seeing a bid worth €28m getting rejected by Barcelona for Roque.
However, Everton are facing competition for his signature as according to Spanish outlet Relevo, Sporting Lisbon are also keen to sign the attacker.
It has been claimed that the Portuguese giants are holding negotiations with Barcelona to take Roque to Lisbon.
Barcelona need the sale of the attacker and are demanding somewhere around €30m to €35m before agreeing to let him go.
It remains to be seen whether Everton manage to beat Sporting Lisbon to the signature of Barcelona striker.
