According to Relevo, Sporting CP are interested in Rafa Marín as they look to bolster their defence. Marin, who is currently playing for Deportivo Alavés on loan from Real Madrid, has been earmarked as a potential replacement for Goncalo Inacio or Ousmane Diomande who have both been linked with moves away from Sporting.
Sporting is a club known for buying cheap gems and reselling them for huge fees and defenders Inacio and Diomande fit this criteria. The two central defenders have incredible potential and therefore Sporting could lose both players in the upcoming transfer window.
Marín, who has made nine appearances for 14th-placed Alavés in La Liga this season, has recently cemented his position in the Spanish U21 setup. In the summer transfer window, the Spanish giants blocked his departure to Real Betis and opted to loan the 21-year-old to Alaves without a buy option.
With his recent development and growing international status, the defender has attracted many suitors, however, it is expected that the player will return to Madrid once his loan ends.
