Spinazzola emotional after first call-up: “I missed everything about this.”

Leonardo Spinazzola got first call-up for last night’s home game against Salernitana since he injured his Achilles tendon in Euro 2020.

The Italian fullback was given a huge round of applause in the pre-match training session by the 64,000 fans in attendance.

Spinazzola felt very emotional about this reception and dedicated a post on Instagram thanking the supporters.

“I missed everything about this,” he wrote. “Thank you all.”
