As reported by Foot Mercato, Bordeaux’s promising young midfielder Jean Onana is edging closer to a move to Serie A club Spezia before the end of the transfer window.
The 22-year-old has been on the fringes of the Bordeaux first team this season following their relegation to Ligue 2 as he has been earmarked for a transfer as the club look to right their precarious financial situation.
Onana and the western Italian club have already agreed on personal terms, say the outlet, and both clubs want a straight transfer rather than any sort of loan arrangement. Spezia have formulated a €5m offer plus bonuses while Les Girondins would also receive 10% of any profit made should the Serie A side sell the midfielder on.
The player has also agreed a contract with Italian giants AC Milan but a fee arrangement has not been forthcoming. The Cameroon international has also attracted the interest of two newly-promoted Serie A clubs in Monza and Cremonese, while over in Spain, Girona were also said to be making a move.
