Celtic stayed two points clear at the top with all five goals of the game with Hearts. Lucy Ashworth-Clifford got the first via the post, Murphy Agnew then netting a hat-trick before Natasha Flint completed the scoring.

Rangers were 3-1 winners at Partick Thistle, where Kirsty Howat’s opener was cancelled out by Imogen Longcake but Sarah Ewens restored the advantage and  Rachel Rowe made sure of the win in stoppage time.

Glasgow City won by the only goal at Hibernian through Lauren Davidson, to stay within four points of Rangers.

Motherwell edged Montrose 2-1 to extend their lead over them to ten points. Morgan Cross scored the decider, after Kayla Jardine’s opener brought a reply from the visitors’ Demi Taylor.

Spartans moved seven points clear of Hamilton and the relegation play-off spot, when winning 3-0 away to the Accies. Megan Quinn conceded an own goal,  Mya Bates rifled in the second and Hannah Jordan also got on the score sheet.

Aberdeen ran out 5-1 winners at bottom-of-the-table Dundee United, who had gone in one up with a long-range Morgan Steedman strike. The Dons hit back hard as Bayley Hutchison claimed a treble and there was one apiece from Eilidh Shore and Hannah Stewart.
