Chelsea are entering a thrilling final stretch of the season where they will look to seal qualification for the Champions League.

But behind the scenes, plans are already in motion for what they will do if they make it. Spanish transfer outlet Fichajes today claimed that the Blues are aiming to make splash with an impressive triple signing if they do make it into the top 5.

First up is an elite central defender. Dean Huijsen is only 19 and is only playing in his first Premier League season, but his impressive impact for Bournemouth means he’s already being linked to all manner of teams.

Chelsea are one of them, and we’ve heard plenty about how much the Blues like the former Juventus kid. We’ve already heard about his release clause – reported to be around £55m. That would be a great price for him.

Chelsea expand their reach with ambitious triple bid

Rodrygo Goes celebrates for Real Madrid.

The other two players mentioned in this triple swoop are Viktor Gyokeres, the Sporting CP striker we’ve heard linked to so many Premier League teams, and Rodrygo Goes, the Real Madrid winger who is losing game time since the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.

Gyokeres will be available for about £70m, and we’re sure he will end up in the Premier League this summer – it’s just a question of who pays up. He’s a little old for our model, however.

Rodrygo is a more interesting proposition. We’re sure Madrid would like to keep hold of him, but knowing he can’t be guaranteed the playing time he wants long term, they may be amenable to a deal. We know Chelsea are looking to add another winger, and this might be a unique chance to add a top player who has just been squeezed out through no fault of his own.
