Barcelona’s draw to Granada was the team’s final piece of action ahead of the international break.
A major chunk of the squad are currently preparing with their respective National teams, but it is safe to say that the most sizeable number are in the Spanish Camp.
Gavi, Alejandro Balde, Lamine Yamal, and Ferran Torres were all part of the 24-man squad called up for the EURO qualifiers against Scotland and Norway
Luis de La Fuente, the manager of the Spanish National Team, spoke ahead of his team’s clash against Scotland, where a large part of his interview went into discussing the Barcelona youngsters who form the core of his team.
The coach began by providing an update on the Golden Boy Gavi who was reportedly injured in training.
He dismissed the youngster’s setback as a mere discomfort and refused to label it as an injury, which is potentially relief for Barcelona, who are grappling with major injury issues.
“Players with discomfort (Gavi)? All the players are available right now. It is true that there are some with some discomfort and we are going to wait until the last minute how they progress and if they can play.”

The manager also spoke about Ansu Fati who left Barcelona on loan to join Brighton and Hove Albion this summer.
The youngster was called up by La Fuente as a late replacement, possibly for Lamine Yamal, and the manager revealed why he trusted the La Masia starlet.
“Ansu Fati? He is a footballer who feels happy and free with us. I have seen him happy, he trains and it is a pleasure to watch him. He knows that he has the love and total support from the staff. I blindly trust him.
“Ansu Fati has the spark that he has always had and we hope he can show it at his club,” he added.
Finally, the La Roja coach gave his two cents on Lamine Yamal’s injury and why he was called up to the National Team despite Barcelona confirming that he had suffered a blow.
“Lamine Yamal? There are some protocols in the team that required him to come and be reviewed.
“I also wanted to talk to him, and for him to be a few hours with his teammates. I wanted to convey peace of mind. We want to have him back soon.”
