Fresh off celebrating his 18th birthday yesterday, Lamine Yamal took the opportunity to throw a party this Saturday night. But the festivities quickly turned into a scandal. The Barcelona right winger allegedly hired people with dwarfism to perform shows and entertainment activities. This is against the law and was condemned by the Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE).

According to information from Cope, the Spanish government has decided to launch an investigation into Lamine Yamal. The Ministry of Social Rights has asked the Prosecutor's Office, the Ombudsman, and the Office for Combating Hate Crimes to take up the case in order to determine whether Yamal's birthday party was degrading towards people with dwarfism.

The young Spaniard now faces potential fines ranging from €600,000 to €1 million. “We fear that the rich and powerful think they can remain unpunished,” lamented Jesús Martín, Director General for Disability.
