Switzerland, with Djibril Sow in the starting line-up, picked up three points against Spain and now need only a draw in their final match to maintain their top-level status in the Nations League.

Switzerland and Spain faced one another for just the second time on the international stage this weekend. After former Eagle Gelson Fernandes fired the Nati to a 1-0 victory at the 2010 World Cup, 12 years on the Swiss picked up another victory, 2-1 this time in Saragossa. Djibril Sow was part of the starting XI before being substituted off in the 68th minute.

The Swiss now need only a draw against Czech Republic on Tuesday to stay in League A in the Nations League.

Marcel Wenig, meanwhile, was on the winning side for Germany U19 in World Cup qualifying. The Eintracht youngster came on in the 86th minute of a 5-1 win over Belarus in Braunschweig.
