England manager Gareth Southgate is warning his Three Lions players of a Scottish aerial bombardment as they prepare for a group stage clash on Friday.

The two rivals go head to head at Euro 2020, with England coming off the back of a win against Croatia and Scotland a defeat to the Czech Republic in their respective opening group games.

Southgate, whose side are expected to win the clash, believes the Scots will play very direct football on Friday, per the Daily Mail.

Scotland played a similar style against the Czechs, with their manager Jaroslav Silhavy saying post-game after a 2-0 win: "Scotland played in a simple way, long balls and tackles, and it was painful for us.

"They kicked long balls at us and we needed a good defensive line."
