Lesley Ugochukwu netted a last-gasp equaliser as bottom-placed Southampton snatched a well-earned point at West Ham.

After a poor first half, the hosts came out strong in the second, with Jarrod Bowen finishing off a counter-attack to score his 10th goal of the season — reaching double figures for the fourth year running.

But Southampton weren't going down without a fight. Having been the better side for much of the match, Lesley Ugochukwu volleyed home in the final moments to equalise, sending the away fans into wild celebrations.

The draw sees Southampton move up to 11 points for the season, matching the 2007-08 Derby County side, who still hold the grim record for the fewest points in a Premier League campaign.

The Saints have now avoided breaking that unwanted record and will be hoping to secure at least one more point in their remaining five matches to surpass Derby.
