Southampton could make a total of 10 signings this transfer window, according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook.

The south coast club have already brought in a few players this summer, and Crook expects more to be on their way.

Who have Southampton signed so far?

With Fraser Forster leaving St Mary’s for Tottenham, Ralph Hasenhuttl made strengthening the goalkeeper position a priority.

As a result, Gavin Bazunu was brought in from Manchester City in a £12m deal, while Mateusz Lis has also arrived to provide competition between the sticks.

Hasenhuttl has been quick to bolster Southampton’s defence, too, signing Armel Bella-Kotchap from Bundesliga outfit Bochum.

“He is a player who fits our profile very well and has a huge amount of potential. But, with the number of senior games he has already played, he can help us immediately,” the Saints manager said following the centre-back’s arrival.

What has Crook said about Southampton’s transfer plans?

Crook has told GIVEMESPORT that up to seven more players could arrive at St Mary’s this summer.

Speaking to GMS, the talkSPORT reporter said: “I was told 10 possible arrivals at Southampton, so I think they’re keen to make a mark. I think they know the squad is in need of a rebuild and an overhaul because they finished last season really badly. So yeah, I think they are working hard on deals.”

Who else could Southampton sign?

With the goalkeeper position now addressed, you would expect up front to possibly be the next area Hasenhuttl looks to strengthen.

The Austrian has watched Armando Broja return to Chelsea and attract strong interest from West Ham, while Adam Armstrong really struggled last season, scoring just the two league goals.

Last month, The Sun reported that Manchester City youngster Liam Delap was on the Saints’ radar, so he could be one option.

Can you guess where Sadio Mane began his footballing career?

They have also been linked with Tottenham’s Harry Winks, so the England international is someone who they could bring in to improve the side in the middle of the park, though Everton are the team hot on his tail right now.

Keeping players will be just as important as signing new ones this summer, however. Captain James Ward-Prowse is thought to be a target for West Ham; losing him would arguably undo all of the south coast club’s hard work on the recruitment front.

From Southampton’s perspective, though, hopefully it does not come to that and they can build on what has been a strong start to the transfer window.
