WSL Full-Time were informed of The Saints’ new additions in a series of official club press releases this afternoon.
Teenager Sena joins Southampton from SSE Airtricity League Women’s Premier Division club Cork City. The attacking full-back has been a regular for The Rebel Army since breaking into the senior team a couple of years ago. On the international stage, Sena has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-17 level so far.
Midfielder Ferguson joins The Saints from SWPL 1 club Hibernian where she has spent the last two years. The Scottish Under-19 international helped the Hibees to end their six-year trophy drought by winning the league title last season.
Defender Hack is a household name at Barclays WSL2 level having represented both Lewes and Blackburn Rovers in the second tier. The player will link-up with Southampton head coach Simon Parker for the third time in her career. Hack was arguably a standout performer under Parker at Blackburn Rovers last season.
Southampton have now added 10 new players to their squad in the summer transfer window. The club’s recruitment drive could be nearing completion given their boosted numbers.
