It was another lively Saturday in the Premier League six five games that had a huge bearing at both ends of the table.
Here is what went down around the grounds.
Scorers: VinĂcius 48â˛, MitroviÄ â72
Southamptonâs 11-year stay in the Premier League is over after they bowed out in a 2-o defeat to Fulham.
A nervy afternoon at St Maryâs saw Lyanco needing to clear the hostsâ lines to deny a goal-bound effort from Willian late in the first half.
But Carlos VinĂcius nudged RubĂŠn SellĂŠsâ side towards the Championship with a tidy finish from Harrison Reedâs sliding pass.
Fulham piled the misery on the Saints when substitute Aleksandar MitroviÄ marked his return from suspension with a stooping header.
Scorers: Ramsay 8â˛, Luiz 72â˛; Kane (PEN) 89â˛
Goals in either half helped Aston Villa strike a monumental blow to Tottenhamâs faded Champions League ambitions.
Jacob Ramsay handed the hosts an early lead with a sweeping close-range finish from Leon Baileyâs cutback from the right-hand side of the area.
Spurs struggled to impose themselves on proceedings and only registered a first shot on target early in the second half as Emiliano MartĂnez denied Harry Kane.
But Unai Emeryâs side soon doubled their lead as Douglas Luizâs expertly-taken free kick finding its way past a sprawling Fraser Forster from 25 yards out.
The visitors notched a rare consolation on 90 minutes after MartĂnez fouled Kane, allowing the England captain to convert from the penalty spot.
Son Heung-min appeared to have snatched a late equaliser but saw his stoppage-time effort belatedly chalked off for offside.
Scorers: Sterling 51â˛, 58â˛; Awoniyi 13â˛, 61
Raheem Sterlingâs first Premier League goals since January could not stop Chelsea from being held by Nottingham Forest.
Frank Lampard made the bold call of handing Ădouard Mendy a rare recall for the hosts dating back to the World Cup break.
The Blues caretakerâs faith soon backfired as Taiwo Awoniyi beat the goalkeeper to meet Renan Lodiâs deep cross after Mateo KovaÄiÄ gave away possession.
They pulled level early in the second half as Sterling pounced to meet Trevoh Chalobahcâs cross at the byline to rifle past Navas.
The England international gave Chelsea the lead seven minutes later with a super curling effort from the left-hand side of the penalty area.
But Forest soon equalised as Awoniyi headed home from close-range after Orol Mangala had helped on Moussa NiakhatĂŠâs long throw.
Scorers: Eze 40â˛, 58
Eberechi Ezeâs brace saw Crystal Palace delay Bournemouthâs Premier League survival with a comfortable victory.
The visitors had travelled to Selhurst Park knowing they could mathematically secure their top-flight status by avoiding defeat.
But it was only a matter of time before the Eagles took the lead through Eberechi Eze drilling home from Jordan Ayew backheeling Wilfried Zahaâs low ball.
Eze doubled his tally early in the second half with a superb solo effort which culminated in him rifling past Neto in the visitorsâ goal.
Scorers: Martial 32â˛, Garnacho 90+5
Manchester United revived their top four bid by edging out a cagey encounter with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Anthony Martial broke the deadlock shortly after the half-hour mark when Antony drew out Dan Bentley, allowing his teammate to stroke the ball into an empty net.
The pair combined again at the end of the first half but the Brazilianâs delayed release pass saw Martial floating a tame shot in the direction of Wolves debutant Bentley.
United struggled to build on their lead as nerves began to grow inside Old Trafford against Julen Lopeteguiâs resolute visitors, who frustrated them for large parts.
But substitute Alejandro Garnacho put the game beyond doubt deep in stoppage time by meeting Bruno Fernandesâ clever pass before firing comfortably beyond Bentley.
Scorers: Ayling 7â˛, Kristensen 78â˛; Wilson (PEN) 31â˛, (PEN) 69
Ten-man Leeds boosted their Premier League survival hopes by salvaging a point against Newcastle United.
The hosts led through early opener from captain Luke Ayling, who pounced on the rebound after Nick Pope parried Rodrigoâs header.
Newcastleâs efforts were almost undone midway through the first half as Sam Allardyceâs side were awarded a penalty after Joelinton bundled over Junior Firpo.
Pope guessed correctly to save Patrick Bamfordâs effort before the Magpies won a spot kick at the other end just three minutes later for Maximilian WĂśberâs foul on Isak.
Callum Wilson stepped up to beat Joel Robles comfortably with his pacy effort from 12 yards to level up a pulsating encounter at Elland Road.
The relegation strugglers were dealt a fresh blow when Wilson converted another penalty after Firpo was penalised for a handball in the area on 67 minutes.
Rasmus Kristensen drew Sam Allardyceâs side level with a rasping effort after the ball broke to him from a corner in the gameâs closing stages.
The Whites suffered a fresh setback when Firpo was sent off late on for a second bookable offence but held on to take their share from a high-drama draw.
