Journalist Tom Barclay believes that Southampton full-back Tino Livramento could become the latest teenage sensation at the club.

Which youngsters have come through Southampton's ranks before?

Southampton have a proud history of producing some of the most exciting talents in the country. Arguably the finest player to have come through their ranks is Gareth Bale, who made 45 senior appearances for the Saints before moving onto Tottenham in 2007. He has since gone on to win four Champions League trophies with Real Madrid, and collected 98 international caps for Wales.

What did Barclay say about Livramento's start to life at Southampton?

Livramento only joined Southampton at the start of last month, but he has already settled in quickly, featuring in all five of their Premier League matches so far.

Barclay has liked what he's seen from the 18-year-old, and feels that Livramento has a big future ahead of him.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I can definitely see the comparisons between Livramento and some of the explosive teenagers that went on to do massive things in world football at Southampton in years gone by. He’s got electric pace, he’s got great confidence, great on the ball. He really caught my eye against Man United. I was at that match, the draw there. He was fantastic going forward. He’s just so quick.”

Can Livramento follow in the footsteps of Bale and Shaw?

It is still early days for the right-back, but the signs thus far have been very promising.

Southampton have not had an easy start to the season, taking on both Manchester clubs in the opening weeks of the campaign. Livramento has not looked overawed by the big occasion at all, though, and appears to have already cemented his place in Ralph Hasenhuttl's starting XI.

What shirt number does Nathan Redmond wear for Southampton?

10 11 17 12

Whether he can go on to win major silverware and play for his country like Bale, Shaw and Walcott remains to be seen, but he certainly seems to have a well-rounded skillset that should take him a long way in the game.

Livramento made his England Under-21 debut earlier this month. The senior side have a wealth of talent at right-back including Kyle Walker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Reece James, but if Livramento keeps progressing at his current rate, it might not be too long before Gareth Southgate starts keeping a close eye on him and he represents his country, just like Bale and Shaw are currently doing.
