So far this campaign, the Southend-born official has taken charge of 29 Sky Bet Championship fixtures, as well as two League One clashes and ties in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

The Whites are unbeaten in the three matches Donohue has officiated involving the club, starting with a 1-1 draw at home to West Brom at the beginning of the campaign.

This was then followed up with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Norwich City in January, before being in the middle as Daniel Farke's side beat Plymouth Argyle 2-0 at Home Park, thanks to goals from Willy Gnonto and Georginio Rutter.

In their two matches refereed by Donohue previously, Southampton are yet to record a victory, starting with a defeat to Bristol City in February that brought the Saints' long unbeaten run to an end.

The South Coast outfit then followed that up with a 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough at the end of March, when Adam Armstrong's opener was cancelled out by Emmanuel Latte Lath's late header at St Mary's.

This weekend brings a return to West Yorkshire for Donohue, with the official overseeing Huddersfield Town's 1-1 draw with Birmingham City last time out.
