In lack of game time at Borussia Dortmund, Youssoufa Moukoko (19) is likely to leave his formative club this summer and has lots of suitors queuing up, including newly-promoted Premier League side Southampton FC and Ligue 1 outfit Stade Rennais, according to Sky.

Touted as one of Europe’s biggest prospects for years, Moukoko is yet to live up to expectations. The German U21 striker  never managed to climb up Dortmund’s manager Edin Terzic pecking order, despite solid performances when he is given a chance. Last season, Moukoko only made 27 appearances across all competitions, starting only five games but still managing to score five goals. The Yaoundé-born centre forward will reportedly open talks with Dortmund to find an agreement over the transfer condition, whether it will be a loan or a permanent transfer.

According to Sky Germany, Moukoko has lots of suitors queueing up, including Spanish outfits Girona, Real Betis, and Real Sociedad. The German outlet adds that the left-footed striker gathers interest from all around Europe, with Southampton and Rennes joining the race for Moukoko. With his current deal set to expire in 2026, the German U21 international is looking for a club where he would be able to play an important role. Newly-promoted Bundesliga side St Pauli, who saw Moukoko playing at youth level years ago, is also targeting Dortmund’s striker, but Sky understands that he would favour a move abroad.
