Five time runners-up South Africa beat Morocco 2-1 to win the Total Energies Women’s African Cup of Nations for the first time.
Banyana Banyana had needed a stoppage-time penalty in the semis to edge out Zambia, tournament hosts Morocco going through on penalties against Nigeria.
Hildah Magaia’s second-half brace settled the final, although Tottenham’s Rosella Ayane pulled one back.
