Manchester United and Norwich City could strike a deal that sees Max Aarons and Ethan Laird swap clubs ahead of next season, Football League World has been told.

The Canaries are heading back to the Sky Bet Championship for next season after another tough campaign in the Premier League.

They’ll be looking to bounce back straight away as they so often have next year, then, but it may well be the case they lose some of their best players, of which Aarons is obviously one.

Indeed, this site has been told that the Canaries are braced to lose the flying full-back in the summer transfer window, with Manchester United among those reportedly already keen, and that may well lend itself to a deal for a player heading in the other direction.

That’s because, as this site has been told, Norwich are keen on United’s Ethan Laird, with him spending time on loan in the Championship this season at the likes of Swansea and Bournemouth, and that could see them strike some sort of deal where the two players head in opposite directions.

Laird’s move to Carrow Road would only be a loan if it happened, though, whilst Aarons would be heading away rather more permanently from Norwich.
