Leyton Orient are pushing on in their attempts to strike a deal for Bolton Wanderers attacker Kieran Sadlier, sources have informed Football League World this evening.
The League Two table-toppers were one of a number of clubs linked to the former Republic of Ireland youth international last week, as revealed by FLW, and they are the first of the trio, which includes Barnsley and Charlton Athletic, to make their play.
O’s boss Richie Wellens will now look to finalise a deal for the 28-year-old who would significantly strengthen the club’s hand for the final few months of the season.
Sadlier arrived at Bolton a year ago from Rotherham United and has made 37 League One appearances across two seasons, but he has never been a regular starter under Ian Evatt with the majority of his outings coming from the substitutes bench.
Wellens is now looking to offer the winger a chance of playing regularly for a promotion-chasing outfit and will look to get a deal done, although it is unclear as to whether Orient will go for a permanent transfer or a loan deal.
